About
The National Center of Competence in Research (NCCR) SPIN is based at the University of Basel. Its main objective is to develop small, fast, and scalable spin qubits in silicon and germanium, exploring the fundamental quantum physics of the qubits and architectures, our two main projects, as a foundation for a future technology with high fidelity and excellent scalability. The NCCR SPIN team consists of researchers from the University of Basel, IBM Research, ETH Zurich, EPF Lausanne, the University of Konstanz, and Roche. The team members are experts from various disciplines, such as quantum physics, materials science, engineering and computer science.
Der Nationale Forschungsschwerpunkt (NFS) SPIN ist an der Universität Basel angesiedelt.
