The 2025 PhD Retreat on Quantum Innovation will take place from January 22–24, 2025, at the Ski Lodge in Engelberg, Switzerland.
The event will bring together PhD students from the NCCR SPIN network to present their research projects and participate in discussions with fellow researchers. A dedicated workshop on Entrepreneurship in the Quantum Industry will provide insights into the fascinating journey to transition quantum technologies from academic research to practical applications. An introduction to start-ups as innovation drivers with examples from quantum technologies.
Team-based business case development using a business canvas approach, focusing on market fit, unique value propositions, and the transition from academic research to start-ups.
Short input sessions followed by team discussions, supported by mentors.
Final presentations of business concepts, with feedback provided by experts.
Set in the scenic environment of Engelberg, the retreat offers a combination of scientific exchange and community engagement within the field of quantum computing.
