Candidates
NCCR SPIN International Mobility Grants are aimed at doctoral students and postdocs who wish to improve their scientific profile by staying in a hosting team while remaining employed at their home institution, and:
are NCCR SPIN members and would like to travel to a host institution outside of Switzerland
or
are non-SPIN members whose home institution is outside of Switzerland and wish to be hosted in a NCCR SPIN team
The minimum stay is 2 weeks for a maximum of 4 months.
Award
1’600 CHF/month paid directly to the awardee
If the applicant is accompanied by his immediate family, up to 200 CHF per additional family member may be awarded for the whole stay
Travel costs can be reimbursed for one roundtrip (economy fare) up to 2’000 CHF

Motivation letter including research goals
Letter of acceptance from the home institution supervisor
Letter from the host institution supervisor
All documents should be in English.
Selection
Selection is made on a competitive and on a rolling basis. The selected candidates are asked to confirm their travel within 2 weeks. Otherwise, the award may be attributed to another candidate.
Selected candidates are asked to start their stay in the host team at NCCR SPIN within 6 months after the attribution of the grant.
Payment of the award money is subject to the ongoing activity of the research project.
The funding will be prorated according to the length of the stay.
Accommodation, visa and other fees, etc. are to be paid by the awardee.
The award is granted only to selected applicants who have completed enrolment at their home university.
