Guest Professor: Applied Quantum Computing (50–100 %) School of Life Sciences FHNW

Your tasks: In this position, you have the possibility to identify, promote and unlock the potential of Quantum Computing technology in Life Sciences applications and develop a platform to integrate Quantum Computing into industry and academia.
As an attractive option, you could remain in part-time employment with a relevant private company. Furthermore, your tasks include:

software and/or platform development for the Life Sciences community
define the right combination of technologies
build a strong network with national and international industrial and academic partners
develop training concepts for future Quantum Computing experts in Life Sciences for consecutive and further education

This is a fixed-term position for 3 years with the possibility to extend.

Your profile: If you want to pioneer in the field of quantum computing, you are the right person for this position! We are looking for a highly motivated and inventive scientist with following qualifications:

PhD in physics, mathematics, informatics or in natural sciences
familiarity with possible applications of Quantum Computing as well as strong interest in solving life science issues
an outstanding track record in applied research
first teaching experience preferred
strong command of written and spoken English, German is an advantage
