World Quantum Day: Live stream from the lab and other activities

The World Quantum Day on the 14th April 2023 was celebrated with plenty of events around the Globe.

NCCR SPIN participated this year to the celebration with three contributions that you can (re)watch online:

  • A live stream organised by QuantumBasel. Prof. Dominik Zumbühl and PhD candidate Miguel Carballido introduced the public to their laboratory and their current quantum experiments! Their intervention starts at minute 20’25.

  • A video call to celebrate the World Quantum Day by dozens of scientists around the world. At minute 3’30, Prof. Andrea Hofmann is inviting everyone to celebrate it in Switzerland as well!

  • A video asking six physicists of NCCR SPIN what the think of first when they hear the word “Quantum”, featuring Schrödinger’s cat!
