NCCR SPIN QUBITS Winter School on Quantum Computation for Young Researchers
The NCCR SPIN QUBITS Winter School will open its doors to young researchers of the NCCR SPIN Network on January 15-17 2024 in the charming winter town of Kandersteg, Switzerland.
Tailored specifically for PhD students and Postdocs with a keen interest in quantum computation, the Winter School is designed to provide a dynamic platform for interactive training, meaningful networking, and an extraordinary line-up of lectures from field experts. This event serves as a catalyst for fostering collaboration and the exchange of knowledge among participants.

INASCON: International NAnoscience Student CONference
INASCON (International NAnoscience Student CONference) is an annual conference organized by students for students.
This year’s motto „Make Nano Visible“ aims to include the chemical, physical, biological and medical facettes of nanoscience to not only show how processes on the nanoscale can be made interpretable but also to demonstrate their large-scale effects across disciplines.

NCCR SPIN Annual Meeting 2023

Open Research Data Events - Zürich/Lausanne/Basel
NCCR Ventures initiative, NCCRs are co-organizing a series of events on Open Research Data between April and June. These one-day events will take place in Zurich (April 28), Lausanne (May 8) and Basel (June 2), featuring presentations and practical workshops by experts and researchers who have developed methods for practicing various aspects of Open Research Data.
The events are aimed at students and researchers, but all are welcome to register. Members of NCCR SPIN are strongly encouraged to participate. You can register to one or several meetings.

PhD Students Retreat
This year’s PhD Students Retreat will take place at Ski Lodge in Engelberg from April 24-26, 2023. The event is open to PhD students from all NCCR SPIN groups, both full and associate members.
The event is a great opportunity to extend PhD Students’ network, as they will have the opportunity to present their research to their peers through talks and a poster session, as well as spending time with others during leisure activities. The NCCR SPIN will also provide a soft skills workshop on scientific communication focused on storytelling and communication strategies to distill scientific messages.
